How we handle the limited data we store so you can share your Big Five results
2026/04/16
At Big Five Personality Test, we try to collect as little as possible about you. We built shareable results (/r/<id>) because it makes the test more fun — and that one feature is the only reason we store anything server-side at all. This page explains exactly what we keep, for how long, and why.
When you complete the test, we save one record in our database so you can share a link to your result. Each record contains:
The Explorer)en, zh, …)That's it. We do not store your name, email, phone number, precise location, or individual question answers.
All test result records are automatically and irreversibly deleted after 90 days. A scheduled task runs every day to remove anything older than that. If you want us to delete your result sooner, see "Deleting your data" below.
We use:
localStorage in your browser to save your test progress so you can resume if you close the tab — this never leaves your deviceYou can clear all of this anytime from your browser settings.
We use the following services to understand how the site is used and to run the site:
External links on the site are not covered by this policy.
Because we don't require accounts, the simplest way to delete a specific result is to let the 90-day window expire — it happens automatically.
If you need something deleted sooner (for example, you posted a link publicly and want it gone immediately), email us at support@bigfivepersonality.me with the URL of your result (e.g. bigfivepersonality.com/r/xK7mP2qA) and we'll remove the record within 7 days.
The test is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and bump the date below. Material changes will also be noted in our changelog.
